LA is dominated by hispanics. Neighborhoods that were once Black American, are predominately Latino now. And the Latinos (mostly Mexicans) are starting to look at the city like its theirs. They got all the jobs. Its normal to walk into a McDonald’s, a clinic, a bank and see all hispanic workers. The Jobs that were traditionally held by Black Americans, the post office, hospitals administrator, Public Utility jobs, and city jobs are now mostly held by Latinos. As soon as Blacks retire (or are pushed out) they swoop in. They are in Law enforcement, city government, Armed MTA security and can barely speak English.
Black American non-immigrants are an endangered species in Los Angeles and should be protected by law and the lil of our neighborhoods left should be classified as historical landmark areas.
But Black Americans have no representation in the city. They law fared Mark Ridley Thomas. Plus, any semblance of Black activism in LA has been long dead. Any other so called Black community leaders must accept responsibility for the dissolution of the community that happened under their watch. Maxine is on her way out. Them Trump/Musk audits gone clear out a lot of democrats. They all stealing tax payer money. Republicans too.
LA is a hispanic city with alot of people speaking Spanish only. Both White and Black Americans look like sprinkles in a city that’s predominately brown. The sht went too far—got out of hand. Obama started it. Anchor babies are instinctively pro immigrant. Obama had us kumbayaing while they flooded our communities with immigrants which they then elevated above us with tax payer money, EBT cards, housing vouchers, loans and services. These same resources were halved for the Black community as they brought the migrants in. Now the migrants have taken over the whole community. Some Black Americans are relegated to a few houses on the block. While I must admit most of my hispanicNeighbors are cordial, some be looking like nigga what you doing over here despite the fact that I been here long before they got here.
Plus, they come over here and sell shit everywhere. On the side of the freeway, in parking lots on the corner, on the side of Churches Chicken. I seen one lady selling used clothes on the sidewalk. I remember when Blacks used to try and sell sht on the corner the police always harassed them for permits, and when they didn’t produce a one, the cops would confiscate all their products just to be spiteful. Mexicans can set up a taco stand on the sidewalk and the LAPD, the Sheriff’s will go buy a taco permit be damned. They never fuck with them. But even today if a Black sets up a canopy on the sidewalk and starts selling sht, they will bust his/her chops about a permit. This is how they enable them to dominate the city’s economy. They got all the jobs and all the side-hustles, not to mention, they own the dope trade. Don’t get me started on the crime…
